All our visitors are captivated by the setting of our village hall which provides “the rec” with uninterrupted views of Ham Hill country park.
The barn style facade blends in beautifully with the village surroundings, but just wait until you see what’s inside!

The Kitchen
With double aspect windows providing a bright, light, pristine and spacious kitchen.
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cater for any event, large or small. There is also an external door leading out onto the veranda plus an electric shutter which brings the kitchen into the main function room – ideal for displaying and serving food and beverages.
Full hire of the kitchen includes use of our crockery, cutlery and glassware.
Entrance Hall
Double glass doors open up to our lovely entrance hall, giving you access to the Kitchen, Meeting Room, Main Hall and Washrooms, including the disabled toilet with baby changing facilities.
This light airy entrance is ideal for welcoming guests and the perfect set-up area for ticket sales or providing a welcome drink for your guests.
Meeting Room
A private room which has been recently re-carpeted, provides the perfect setting for a more intimate meeting or class.
This lovely room can also be included in the full hire of the hall and has regularly been used as a separate bar area/cloakroom at larger events.
The Main Hall
Wow is usually the first word uttered when new visitors step into our stunning function room!
The wooden floor, oak apex beams and glass patio doors leading out onto the veranda make our village hall stand out. No two events – parties, weddings, performances – ever look the same in our hall and that\’s the blank canvas that our hirers love.
Why not decorate the beams with twinkly lights and bunting then set your own scene using our tables and chairs, giving you carte blanche to make your event special and unique!
Hire of the hall also includes chairs & tables as well as the use of our PA and loop system. In addition, if necessary, we have a stage which can be erected to suit your needs. (This must be erected by our village hall team in line with health & safey)
Parking
A great venue should also provide ample parking and you have that here at Norton-sub-Hamdon Village Hall.
With designated parking (including disabled) for 8 cars directly in front of the hall plus extra designated spaces on the left hand side of the entrance from New Road.
For larger events, when available, you can use Norton Village School’s car park, which is adjacent to the hall.
Toilets
With access from the main hall and also access from the entrance, we have excellent washrooms and a separate disabled washroom with baby changing facilities.
